I've always been fascinated by people who became financially aware and self conscious at a young age.
Given all the distractions of today's social networks, my admiration for the young "Warren Buffett" wannabes doubled.
I've recently met such a young guy, Jason Ang is 22 years old. Below is what is testimonial-essay-entitled "How To Invest At A Young Age?"
I started investing in June 2009, a few weeks before my college graduation rites.I opened an account in one of the online stock brokerages in the country, initially depositing only the minimum amount required.
"After a month, I saw the growth of my investment. So I put in additional money in my account. By the end of the year, the total money I have placed in my investment account is more than double my initial deposits. All these times, I was still sending resumes to different companies for my very first employment. Investment wise, on the other hand, I now have additional placements in bonds, government security mutual funds and cooperative-where my money earns bigger interest compare to banks.(http://bauscoop5407.webs.com). I do not want my money to be in one basket.
Source Of Investment Money
You might be wondering how an unemployed individual was able to start investing. I did not ask nor borrowed the money from my parents. I most certainly did not steal it.
"My invested money was a product of all the regular savings I did since I was a kid. I always made it a point to save a part of my allowance, Christmas and graduation moneys I received from parents and relatives.
I also choose my expenditures wisely. Majority of my expenses went to food and other school related expenses, instead on gadgets and other non-essential things. I only buy simple and inexpensive materials instead of splurging on luxury goods. Budgeting played a role with how I came with my investment money.
So guys, Why Invest? The reason for wanting and starting to invest early is because we want to be rich and wealthy as young as possible. Like most people, We want to have the capacity to buy the things we need and want.
